Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Raphael immigrated to the United States in 2002. 

He attended Indiana University – Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI) and earned his bachelor’s in Biology. He proceeded to complete a dual master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Public Health. 

Raphael currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Community Hospital Oncology Physicians in Indianapolis. Before that, he worked for 13 years at Indiana University Health where he led and served in management, operations, data analytics, and customer service roles. He also worked 4 years with Indiana University School of Medicine as a Research Associate where he was acknowledged in several publications.

Raphael is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and also serves as the current President of the Indianapolis FC Barcelona Fans group.
